About EJOI
The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) is an annual international programming competition for secondary school students from European countries. It follows the rules and standards of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and serves as a stepping stone for young talent towards the IOI.
The competition brings together some of the most promising young programmers from across Europe, giving them an opportunity to test their algorithmic problem-solving skills, exchange ideas, and connect with peers who share their passion for informatics and computer science.
Each participating country sends a delegation of up to four contestants, accompanied by a team leader. The contest spans two competition days, each featuring three algorithmic tasks to be solved in four hours.
History
EJOI 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the competition. Since its inaugural edition in Sofia in 2017, EJOI has visited nine European countries and grown into a flagship event for junior informatics talent across the continent.
