About Kaunas

EJOI 2026 will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second-largest city and an important academic and cultural centre. Located at the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris rivers, Kaunas combines historic architecture, modernist heritage, and a vibrant student atmosphere.

Participants will have the opportunity not only to compete in the olympiad, but also to experience the city's historic old town, lively public spaces, and welcoming academic community.

Kaunas is home to several universities and research institutions, making it a natural host city for an international competition celebrating young talent in computer science.
