Day 4: Excursion to Trakai
A well-earned rest day after the first competition. Participants and leaders travelled to Trakai, a historic town about 30 km from Kaunas, best known for its striking island castle rising from the waters of Lake Galvė.
Lunch was at Senoji kibininė, a traditional Karaite restaurant, where everyone got to try kibinai, the local pastry that Trakai is famous for.
The rain made for a damp afternoon, but hopefully a memorable one. Contest Day 2 follows today.
